Coaching

1. INITIAL ASSESSMENT

At the assessment we measure your weight and body fat, calculate your muscle mass and discuss your ultimate goals, training background, medical history, physical limitations and nutritional preferences. Taking all this information into account, we design a fully personalised program that includes goal bodyweight, body fat, muscle mass and strength gain figures.

2. STRENGTH TEST

The next step is to test your strength. Our coach will teach you competition powerlifting technique in the squat, bench press and deadlift and then coach you to lift the most weight you are capable of.

3. CUSTOM NUTRITION & STRENGTH PROGRAM

After your assessment we design a personalised nutrition plan and strength training program that includes your goal body weight, body fat and muscle mass as well as strength gain targets. Food is the most important part of the recomposition journey and unlike most diets, our diet isn’t focussed on restricting food or the latest fad, but rather teaching sustainable dietary knowledge and healthy habits that will last a lifetime. To ensure optimal results, the recomposition diet specifies every gram of food to eat at every meal, whilst our strength training programs typically involve 3-5 high-intensity workouts per week.

Here at Strive Strength and Conditioning we focus on teaching you how to consistently achieve the weight training performances you need to make the most rapid strength progress with your body. We educate on how to perform at the absolute limit of your physical capacity, safely and consistently, in order to beat your previous best performance each time you train! We focus on teaching you both the physical and mental aspects of training. This includes when and how to breathe, when to hold your breath, when to go slow, when to go fast, where and how to adjust your balance, where to ‘push’ from, what to feel. We aren’t like most coaching facilities, we don’t want to keep for 10 years taking your money, we are here to teach you the skills you need to train yourself effectively! So, whether you do 1 session or all of your training with us, you will be developing skills you keep for life.
